SUPERIOR AESTHETICS, STRONGER, AND HARDER DURABILITY.

Polished concrete originated in industrial buildings as an extremely durable, low maintenance flooring option. It also resists tire marks and traffic patterns from vehicles and heavy machinery. Many industrial buildings opt for a sealed floor due to the lower installation cost, but most owners and architects don’t realize that a polished floor will actually save them money, usually within 5 years. It is much more durable, and does not require the maintenance a sealed floor does. Polished concrete installation costs are competitive with other flooring options, yet maintenance costs over 20+ years are less than half of most alternatives.

While acrylic sealers can be used in an industrial setting and in most cases is a less expensive installed option, we do not recommend it except in very low-traffic areas of the building. Acrylic sealers have lower durability, they usually show traffic patterns, they require weekly waxing in high-traffic, and will need refinishing every few years. In an industrial setting these maintenance and resealing processes can be disruptive to production and cause downtime. It may be a lower upfront cost, but it typically becomes a more expensive flooring option within 5 years.
